After three years and thousands of hours of testing, Toyota’s next-generation multimedia system will roll out very soon. A new virtual assistant, user profiles, cloud-based navigation tech, and over-the-air software updates are just a few of the exciting highlights we’re looking forward to here at Courvelle Toyota in Opelousas, Louisiana.
This new system boasts an array of touch-screen sizes, from 8 inches all the way up to 14 inches. With new animation designs, enhanced voice control features, and faster processing speeds, it’s easy to learn and easy to use. Its highly responsive touch interface works much like a smartphone, but there will still be a physical volume knob, too.
One of this system’s most intriguing new aspects is the Virtual Assistant. It uses machine learning, cloud-based tech, and built-in microphones to give you intuitive voice control over navigation, music, phone functions, and vehicle settings.
Other key new features include standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, a built-in navigation option with searchable points of interest and offline functionality, and portable driver tools like user profiles and a digital key. Over-the-air software updates enable the system to incorporate instant cloud-based improvements.
Starting later this year, this new multimedia system will debut in a wide range of Toyota models, and we’ll have them for you right here at Courvelle Toyota.
