Spring is a great time of year here in Louisiana. The weather is warm, but the scorching heat of summer hasn’t arrived yet, making it a great time to get out and explorer. Here are some of our favorite spring festivals around Opelousas. Bayou Bird Fest Held in nearby Washington on March 28, the Bayou Bird Fest is a way to get to know some of the over 200 species of birds that live in the area.
