Long-Term Toyota Vehicle Reliability Better Than Rivals, Survey Shows

After an analysis of more than 14.9 million pre-owned vehicles sold last year, the results are in — Toyota comes in way ahead of the pack in terms of long-term vehicle reliability. The organization that ran the analysis, iSeeCars, based their study on how often different models would make it to 200,000 miles. They restricted their data to only include models that are still in production today and measured the results as the percent of each nameplate that hit that mileage benchmark. About 2.3% of used Toyotas cleared that line, which is almost twice as many as the average for all brands in the comparison.
