When the Toyota Highlander was first introduced in 2001, it turned the midsize SUV segment on its head with its unibody structure and four-wheel independent suspension. Now, the Highlander is looking to shake its segment again for the 2020 model year.
The 2020 Toyota Highlander debuted earlier this month at the Miami International Auto Show. It comes with a new, more sophisticated look based on the Toyota New Global Architecture. As it enters its fourth generation, you have your choice of two engine options. The first is a V6 engine, which gets an EPA-estimated fuel-efficiency rating of 22 mpg combined. You can also opt for a new-generation hybrid powertrain, which combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors to get an impressive 34 mpg combined.
You can opt for one of five trim levels for the 2020 Highlander. The first is a new L grade, which is then followed by LE, XLE, Limited, and Platinum. Throughout these trims, you will find features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, a versatile multimedia system, and an all-new available JBL® Premium Sound System, which will allow you to feel as if you’re at your favorite musician’s live concert.
The 2020 Highlander will be at Courvelle Toyota soon with the hybrid soon to follow in the first quarter of next year. To learn more about this bold SUV, visit our showroom or give us a call.
