After a long wait, Toyota has finally unveiled the all-new, full-size Tundra pickup truck — and we’re glad to be able to say it’s been worth that wait. With bold styling, awesome off-road capability, and up to 12,000 pounds of towing capacity powered by a hybrid engine, the Tundra is ready to lead the next generation of trucks.
Under the hood, the 2022 Toyota Tundra is available with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain rated at 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. It uses a 10-speed automatic transmission and can tow up to 12,000 pounds.
For maximum off-road performance, the 2022 Tundra TRD Pro features 2.5-inch diameter FOX® shocks, extra underbody protection, unique all-terrain tires, and numerous driving aids like CRAWL Control and Multi-Terrain Select.
The next-gen Tundra features Toyota’s all-new Audio Multimedia system, which runs on an 8-inch or 14-inch high-resolution touch screen with standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Every Tundra also gets standard Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.5+ as well as a virtual assistant that responds to wake-up phrases like “Ok Toyota” or “Hey Toyota.”
The features described above are just the tip of the iceberg. For more information about the amazing new 2022 Toyota Tundra, please visit Courvelle Toyota — aka Happytown, U.S.A. — in Opelousas, Louisiana!
